Last August 18, Fully Booked The Fort became more than a bookshop that sold stories; it became one that allowed patrons to create their own tales, thanks to the Moleskine Words workshop. Moleskine Words is a creative encounter that gives people the opportunity to conjure inspiring stories and phrases which they can use to personalize the legendary notebooks. I was privileged to have the chance to partake in this workshop. Each participant was given a Moleskine Cahier notebook that they could customize using 150 stamps of nouns, verbs, adjectives, and other words about writing, reading, art, and life. The 150 stamps could tell a myriad of stories and thoughts. I honestly found it challenging to choose the specific stamps I would use to decorate the pages of my notebook. It was a good thing that the workshop's attendants were very helpful; they gave me ideas of what I could write on the cover and helped me locate the stamps I needed. I stamped the phrases "Create good art" and "Never only write reality" on the cover and the first page of my notebook as reminders to continue trying to improve as an artist. Once my notebook was finished, it was displayed in the store along with other notebooks participants embellished with one-of-a-kind expressions and motivational bits of wisdom. After completing the workshop, all the participants were given another Cahier notebook to personalise and take home.
