A little throwback flair for this weekend's guide if you'll allow. This weekend, we'll be a little obsessed with things that were totally happening decades ago and are slowly making their way back into what's hip today.

I was in high school when I was obsessed with Aaliyah. "Are You That Somebody" was one of my anthems and we even performed it at school. Totes sound-crushing (is that a thing?) on this cover by BANKS. Give it a spin.

You probably don't know who Jem and the Holograms are but they were pretty big in the '80s. Must admit, I still know the words to a few songs from the show and can sing the theme song from memory. Haha! According to this announcement on YouTube, we'll actually be able to contribute to the live-action movie version of the cartoon. All you need to do is submit what you love about Jem and who knows, your idea just might make it to the big screen!

In the '90s, stains were a big beauty trend. Stains and lippies with longer stay-on power are still top-trending these days, but the lip lacquer formula has been tweaked to hydrate and moisturize your smackers throughout the day. We just got hold of L'Oreal's Shine Caresse lip glosses (P595) in the latest summer shades. We'll definitely be rocking stained lips this weekend!
