A few weeks ago, Netflix brought us and other members of the press to Seoul, South Korea for the Okja press junket. And because I was there already (with Aimee Dacanay of SPOT.ph!), I decided to go to Myeongdong and try their famous street food!

Myeongdong is one of Korea's famous shopping districts. If you're crazy about food and beauty, it's where you should go because there are streets and streets that house Korea's famous beauty brands like Etude House, Skinfood, The Face Shop, Nature Republic, Laneige, and many more. And in case you go hungry from all that walking, there are food stalls along the streets (and in the middle of the streets at night!) that serve the most mouth-watering street food in Korea. Of course, we tried a few of them below!

  1. Ice cream in a fish-shaped waffle

If you love sweets, you shouldn't miss the opportunity to try this super cute and famous ice cream combo in Korea. Served on top of a fish-shaped waffle, the vanilla ice cream is topped with sweet honeycomb nugget.

  1. Croissant fish bread or bungeoppang

Made from waffle batter, this fish-shaped dessert is stuffed with red bean, chocolate, banana, or sweet potato. All you have to do is choose which one's your fave!

  1. Grilled octopus legs

If you need something tasty to balance the sweetness of all the things you've eaten, we suggest you try grilled octopus legs. It's served hot, too, so if you're feeling cold already, it's perfect to feast on this.

  1. Gyeran-bbang or egg bread

These little loaves of bread with a whole egg inside and are topped with toasted and crispy sunflower seeds. So yummy!

  1. Korean fried chicken wings

And just because you're already in Korea, you should go and try Korean fried chicken! These chicken wings are cut in sizes that are easy for you to munch on even while walking along the streets of Myeongdong.

Of course, we didn't pass up the chance to drink banana milk, too, after everything we've eaten! Hee hee.
