It's never a bad time to get into gaming, especially with the highly anticipated releases each year. Here's a look at the note-worthy video games to be released in 2020. Guess we know where our Christmas money is going!

Cyberpunk 2077

Platforms: Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Stadia, Xbox One

Release Date: April 16, 2020

SRP: USD 59.99

This is an action-packed, story-driven, open world RPG from CD PROJEKT RED, the creators of The Witcher series. The game is set in a dystopian city where you play a mercenary named V searching for an implant that’s the key to immortality. Your character is customizable, and your choices will shape his skillset and the world around you. Fun fact: Keanu Reeves is in the game as a nonplayable character.

Final Fantasy VII Remake

Platforms: PlayStation 4 (so far)

Release Date: March 3, 2020

SRP: USD 59.99

Fans of the 1997 PlayStation RPG are in for a treat in this remake. While the narrative was barely changed, it’s been updated to fit today’s generation of players. More importantly, it’s not just a remake for better graphics. The game ditched turn-based combat for more immersive real-time battles, plus replaced a static background with 3D terrain.

Marvel’s Avengers

Platforms: Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Stadia, Xbox One

Release Date: May 15, 2020

SRP: USD 59.99

Two years in the making, this game has single player and co-op gameplays featuring your favorite superheroes—Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, and Hawkeye, to name a few. Although it doesn’t fit into the Cinematic Universe, Marvel’s Avengers promises an exciting story full of action and explosions. It has the same developer as Tomb Raider: Crystal Dynamics.
