If finishing a good book is like saying goodbye to a friend then watching its screen adaptation can certainly feel like catching up with one. Although some aspects can be changed, we couldn’t help but be excited to see our favorite fictional characters come to life. From a coming-of-age novel set at a beach to a short story that depicts what it’s like to be stuck on a time loop, we've taken it upon ourselves to list five young adult romance titles that were adapted to films and shows. 1. The Summer I Turned Pretty

THE SYNOPSIS: Belly (Lola Tung) spends her summer in a beach house as per her family’s tradition for the past fifteen years. 4. Out of My League

THE SYNOPSIS: Despite her illness, Marta (Ludovica Francesconi) looks at her life through rose-tinted glasses—she even tries to find love through Tinder. However, it was only at a bar one evening that she saw the man of her dreams, Arturo (Giuseppe Maggio). With the help of her friends, Jacobo (Jozef Gjura) and Federica (Gaja Masciale), she convinces Arturo to go on a dinner date with her at least once.

5. The Map of Tiny Perfect Things

He thought he was the only one who enjoys the infinite do-overs until he met Margaret (Kathryn Newton). Together, they try to solve the mystery behind the loop by collecting the random little things that make that day perfect.
