Nothing compares to the smell of home-cooked meals by your mom, who aims to give you a balanced diet as much as she can. But you also have to admit that sometimes, you just need a bowl of mac and cheese or a slice or two of pizza. There's nothing wrong with that, and we glad that the girls behind the Instagram account FRESHMEN15 know how we truly feel.

With a tagline on their Instagram bio that says "We gain weight for a reason," these girls are all about celebrating body love and people's love for eating their favorite food. (via NYTimes.com)

The account is a hit for a very good reason. As The New York Times says, "Instagram accounts like Freshmen15 focus on the joys of un-self-conscious indulgence." And isn't that what we need sometimes, especially in college, when we just want to de-stress for a bit and make ourselves happy?

"My friends and I try to embrace women's bodies for what they are," Nikki Seligsohn, one of Freshmen15's founders, said in the interview. "We love going out to eat, we go for late-night pizza, we all love food." That's definitely a plan we've made with our friends when we're pulling all-nighters to finish our papers due the next day.

Another founder of the Instagram account, Skylar Ganz, also said that she used to struggle with eating disorders but this Feed has been an essential part towards her recovery. "It used to be that I wasn't present when I was eating, I wasn't enjoying food, I was using my energy and focus on trying to stay skinny," she said. "But I feel like things are shifting in our culture. Kale is over."
