Gone are the days when the stereotypical model was thought to have a diet of black coffee and nothing else. These days, you'll see some of your faves like Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner chowing down a burger or a fistful of chocolate-covered pretzels. But of course like everything in life, moderation is key.

Gigi shares her personal motto with Harper's Bazaar in the October issue, "Eat clean to stay fit, eat a burger to stay sane." 

If we're talking specifics, models are just like any other people. They stay happy and healthy by having a balanced diet and being active.

To get you started, here are a few recipes you can bookmark and save to kick-start your healthy lifestyle!

Begin the day with a yummy smoothie.

You need carbs for energy but swap your usual bacon for some mushrooms.

Don't deprive yourself. While cutting back on sweets can help you get fit, switching to naturally sweet desserts can help you transition. Skip the sugar or go for substitute if you really want to eat clean.
