There's no one in this generation who doesn't know what a selfie is. Thank God that front facing cameras were invented because through selfies, we can express ourselves, take memorable pictures with our fave people, and connect with friends. No wonder why people have been obsessed with taking selfies!
Researchers from Brigham Young University decided to dig deeper on why people decided to snap digital self-portraits of themselves. From their research, they found that there are actually three types of selfie-takers. Here's the list of thier findings, demonstrated by your favorite celebs. So, which selfie-taker are you? - Communicators
Communicators tend to take selfies to start a conversation when they share some information. If this is you, then the reason you post selfies is to engage in a two-way conversation with your friends in the comments.
- Self-Publicists
Self-publicists are artists that take selfies where they could control everything: from their lighting, their subject, and their poses so that they could get the best photo possible. Unlike communicators who have a two-way conversation with their friends, this type of selfie-taker doesn't really look for conversation in the comments; they take selfies to project something to the world.
- Autobiographers
Autobiographers share selfies to tell their story and chronicle their life, and to share their individuality. If you're this type of selfie-taker, you often take selfies to record memories or to express yourself to the world.
