Because of the pandemic, many students have to deal with the challenges of online learning and the uncertainty of what their careers would be like once they graduate. These have been a cause for concern, and students are in need of valuable advice—whether it be about their academic life or career path.
That’s why mobile services provider Smart Communications Inc. and technology education start-up Edukasyon.ph have partnered up to create Smart Pal, a free online service that enables students to seek advice from a career coach.
Since its launch, Smart Pal has given students valuable advice. It has helped 19-year-old Kia Sagario, a student from Jose Rizal Memorial University, pursue her education despite the uncertainties. “With Smart Pal, I learned practical tips to continue my journey in college amid this pandemic. I know I can't give up,” said Kia.
Some students, like 17-year-old Patricia Mercado of Southville International Schools and Colleges, rely on Smart Pal to search for internships abroad. “[Through Smart Pal], I was able to find an apprenticeship overseas. It was really helpful and it's good to know that there's a service like this," she pointed out.
Smart’s partnership with Edukasyon.PH is in line with the brand’s thrust to champion the youth—from helping bridge the learning gap in the new normal to aiding students with the knowledge and tools they need. Recently, Smart also introduced Giga Study, a data pack that enables subscribers to simply access a host of learning and productivity apps.
Smart and Edukasyon.ph have lined up more projects to further help and assist young Filipinos with their education and employment.
To avail of the Smart Pal service, students may visit Edukasyon.ph’s website and simply ask for advice on any concern—from college applications to career guidance.
