This Is the Exact Amount of Sleep You Need to Be Happy

In a research conducted by a mattress company, sleep was proven to be everyone's ultimate happy pill—provided that we get enough of it. However, the same study has shown that getting the typically recommended seven hours of sleep isn't enough.

Turns out, there's such a thing as the "perfect" amount of sleep, and every minute counts. So what's this "perfect amount," you ask? Seven hours and six minutes.

Yup, that's the exact amount of sleep you need to stay in good mood all day! This was proven by over 2,000 people who participated in the study, all of whom rated themselves as "perfectly happy" after getting this much snooze time.

As for the rest of the participants, the results weren't as satisfying. For example, those who slept for only seven hours considered themselves "mostly happy," while participants who got only six hours and 48 minutes reported they were only "somewhat happy" throughout the day. The latter also reported that they felt constantly worried and unhappy in their relationships.

So there you have it. Time to adjust those alarms!
