The Candy eds share their ultimate dream. How about you?
![]() | I so wanted to play the violin! And I also wanted to try platform diving. —Mia, Editor in Chief |
![]() | I tried the usual gamut of classes ranging from ballet to piano to art, but I really regret not taking violin lessons. It didn't seem like an option back then because not a lot of people were into it. Actually, even now! —Mimi, Managing Editor |
![]() | Singing lessons, for sure I'd be in Broadway by now if I had just learned how to use my voice. Sigh *) —Jennie, Beauty Editor |
![]() | I've always wanted to take up musical theater. I joined Trumpets when I was in college, but I got sick in the middle of the course so I wasn't able to finish it. :( Hmm... Maybe I'll still be able to take it up someday! —Angel, Assistant Features Editor |
![]() | I wanted to take drum lessons and be a cool girl rocker! But as I grew up, I started to realize that I'm not really "musically-gifted"! Haha! :) —Margaux, Fashion Assistant |
![]() | I wanted to be a musical genius. I wanted to sing, write songs, and play the violin and the saxophone (fine, that one was influenced by Lisa Simpson). But get this: when I took piano lessons, I didn't even last a month! Haha. I guess I just wasn't cut out for it. I don't think I'll ever be making music—but I'll always, always have a deep love for it. —Marla, Editorial Assistant |
![]() | My parents let me take piano lessons and art lessons so I was a pretty happy kid. But what I really wanted to take up was ballet! I wanted to be the Lisa Macuja of my generation, believe it or not. I was tricked into thinking I was "taking ballet" when my mom bought me leotards and tights and we would practice in our garage. Hahaha! My dad didn't want me to take ballet because he said I'd get ugly toes. :P —Macy, Web and Mobile Producer |
![]() | My parents would always enroll me in music classes like organ and voice lessons, and sports like swimming. What I really wanted to learn was ballet and ice hockey. I asked my mom one time why she didn't enroll me in ballet and she said I refused to learn since I was a bit tomboy-ish when I was younger. I used to ice skate a lot when I was a kid and during that time, it was the Mighty Ducks phenomenon! I really wanted to learn how to play ice hockey but then my dad didn't allow me coz he didn't want me to have bruises and he kept on saying it's a sport for boys not for girls.:D —Roch, Web and Mobile Producer |
