  1. Visit the National Museum.

Are you interested in an afternoon of culture? Visit the National Museum. It is divided into four different establishments with their own different fields, namely the National Art Gallery (Philippine Arts), Museum of the Filipino People (Anthropology & Archaeology), Museum of Natural History (Natural History), and the National Planetarium (Planetary & Space Science).  The museum is open from Tuesdays to Sundays, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at PHP 150 for adults, PHP 120 for senior citizens, and PHP 50 for students. Admission is free on Sundays.

  2. Go on a food trip.

If there is one thing Manileños love to do, it is eating. Manila’s nooks and crannies are filled with both fine dining restaurants and hole-in-the-wall eateries. There is no shortage of food to try, and you can literally find a place to eat at any street. Some of the best places include Zark’s Burger where you can get juicy burgers at affordable prices, Rap's Cakes and Steaks where you can try their porterhouse steak, and Exile of Main St., which specializes in Asian Fusion cuisine.

  3. Go on a stroll down Escolta.

The streets of Manila have their own stories to tell, and Escolta is a good place to start. It is one of the oldest streets in Manila and was the center of business in the metro before its decline. The street used to house some high-end shops as well. You can stroll by and still see some great buildings like Don Roman Santos Building, First United Building, and Capitol Theater.
