Ever have days when you just want to lay in bed all day and do nothing? With finals week fast approaching, there's no excuse for you to slack off and keep procrastinating. We listed down the best music to keep you productive, while doing the things you don't want to do. Music after all makes boring and repetitive tasks more enjoyable. Keep your focus in check and not let your mind wander off to things you'd rather be doing RN.

  1. Classical music for the genius in you.

Ever heard of the "Mozart Effect"? Research done in the early nineties suggests that listening to music like Mozart's will increase your intelligence. And according to a 2013 study, listening to classical music improved the visual attention of patients with stroke. (via blog.hubspot.com)

  1. Music without words for hard-to-do tasks.

The lyrics could be a bit distracting that you're likely to mouth the words, then break out into song at any minute. Listening to music that doesn't have lyrics is best when you're doing complex tasks where problem-solving is your major task. (via chopra.com)

  1. Feel good songs you enjoy for when you just CAN'T anymore.

When you feel stressed or burned out, this is the best music to get you going and be more productive. Teresa Lesiuk from a music therapy program at the University of Miami told the New York Times that "When you're stressed, you might make a decision more hastily; you have a very narrow focus of attention. When you're in a positive mood, you're able to take in more options." (via businessinsider.com)

  1. Ambient noise for that creative genius in you.

Ambient noise or nature sounds are best when you want to let your creative juices flowing. "Natural" sounds like waves at the beach can also improve your ability to concentrate. (via helpscout.net)

  1. Video game music to unlock the next level of focus and productivity in you.

Even if you're not much of a gamer, there's a reason why video game soundtracks were created and that is to keep their players in deep focus. Video game music is engineered for players to enjoy while staying in focus as they unlock the next level of the game. (via makeuseof.com)
