The Meridian International College (MINT College) is a private educational institution known for its modern approach to Philippine education. Because this college strays away from traditional forms of teaching, it's one of the country's best training grounds for aspiring artists and creative professionals. The institution currently has one campus in McKinley Hill and another in Ortigas East. If you want to learn more about MINT College, here's a comprehensive primer about the progressive school:
History of MINT CollegeÂ
President and founder Baltazar Endriga instituted MINT College in 2010 with the goal of innovating a contemporary hands-on approach to tertiary education. Prior to this, he graduated magna cum laude with an Accountancy degree from the University of the East, later becoming the president of the Cultural Center of the Philippines. After a few years, he was appointed as the president of his alma mater. Given his holistic background in business, technology, and art, he believed that students should be exposed to these three key fields in order to grow as well-rounded professionals. Consequently, he conceptualized the vision-mission of MINT College with these three disciplines in mind.
In December 2010, a simple ceremony was held to inaugurate the school at the Commerce and Industry Plaza building in Taguig City. The college initially offered 10 four-year undergraduate courses under three different departments. Years later, MINT College opened its second campus at Silver City in Pasig. In addition to expanding their program with senior high school tracks, they also opened a School of Fashion in 2018. Besides this, the Continuing Education Program and Achieve Program were launched for working professionals interested in pursuing further education.Â
