Home to the Golden Bears, Marist School Marikina offers more than quality education and Christian values. The private school is also known for its huge campus, sports facilities, and extra-curricular organizations such as the school’s pride Marist High Impact and Marist Debate Society.

If you wish to be a Marista, here’s all you need to know before applying:

History of Marist School Marikina

Inspired by St. Marcellin Champagnat’s dedication to his lifelong mission, Marist School Marikina started as a scholastic for young Marist Brothers to teach the young. In 1962, they established a five-classroom building at the foot of the Sierra Madre Mountains in Marikina City. Marist is also one of the first schools in the Philippines to be granted a Level III accreditation by the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP).

From being an all-boys private Catholic school for decades, Marist eventually began accepting girls recently during the pandemic. Prior to that, the school also offered its co-ed Afternoon Shift High School program to bright scholars who graduated from nearby public schools. In honor of Mary, the mother of Christ, the school not only taught academics but also the strength of character through the ways of the Good Mother.
