So you’re looking to redecorate your space into an aesthetic bedroom worthy of your favorite Korean dramas, but you don’t know where to start? Well, we’ve already listed down a number of affordable items you should consider buying, along with decorating tips based off the most stylish K-drama bedrooms we’ve seen. That said, if you need a little bit more inspiration to start you off, then you definitely have to see this event stylist give her sister’s bedroom a Korean-style makeover.
A self-proclaimed K-drama noob-turned-full-time-fan, 29-year-old Zarla Antonio grew addicted to watching Korean shows during the pandemic, much like the majority of us. “I think one of the reasons why I got hooked on K-dramas were the cozy and chic interiors of the sets.”
Speaking of interiors, while an event and shoot stylist by profession, her visual-centric job has also recently given her the opportunity to explore interior design, not just as a hobby, but as a potential career in the future as well. So, of course, when her sister asked her to reimagine her bedroom, Zarla naturally put her two ongoing interests to work!
The result? A cozy, Korean minimalist-inspired room that will definitely make its way onto our Pinterest boards. And she did it all with an affordable budget of P25,000, mind you.

For the non-K-culture fans out there, you may be wondering what exactly makes a Korean-style room. Well, if you're not into watching K-dramas or Korean vloggers on YouTube, according to Zarla, it's often light, cozy, and leans more towards a modern boho-chic vibe. It also comes in neutral and pastel shades, hence the salmon-painted accent wall in her sister’s new bedroom.
Zarla adds, “[They’re also] completed by cute and unique accessories such as macrame hangers, modern graphics, buri/rattan/abaca decors, and minimalist lamps and vases.” Peek the customized arch mirror atop the dresser, the handwoven baskets, the buri mat, and the rattan droplight that Zarla incorporated, below.
