Why do we hit snooze button, anyway? It's actually your brain telling you that you feel tired and you want to have that extended time to rest because you didn't get much sleep. Can you relate? Majority of us stay up late, that's why! A 2009 study in London says that people who stay up late and delay their wake up times are adapting to the new developments of the modern world because being a night owl is a sign of change from the modern world.
Prolonging your sleep and delaying your wake up time can mean that it's a sign of intelligence. By hitting snooze, you aren't going against evolution—but it means that your body is actually adapting at a faster rate than others. (via byrdie.com)
