Now that traveling is back, I've started thinking about all the places I wanna visit. South Korea is definitely on my bucket list. So when vlogger Hazel Quing recently shared some tips on traveling to SoKor on her IG Stories, I was all ears! ICYMI, the YouTuber went there with her BFF and fellow content creator Ry Velasco and they sure looked like they had a blast! According to Hazel, they stayed there for about two weeks.
If you're also planning to visit South Korea soon and you're wondering how much money you should save, the YouTuber shared a breakdown of her expenses below:
Ultimately, your budget will depend on your itinerary, as well as your preferred "accommodation and restos." In her case, Hazel shared: "We actually chose a hotel that's near the subway & right in the middle of busy Hongdae area. I'm sure there are guesthouses/Airbnb that are relatively cheaper than the rates in my previous story."
"Plan ahead of time," she advised. "Our flight was booked just a week before so it's more on the expensive side."
"I noticed that it's a lot cheaper to travel with friends because you get to share food and drinks," she added. "Usually, there's a minimum order required sa resto nila."
In case you're wondering, Hazel's pocket money was around P9,000.
Of course, a vacation won't be complete without a food trip! Fun fact: Her all-time favorite Korean food is none other than ~bulgogi~.
When asked about the best places to visit when shopping and sightseeing in Seoul, Hazel said that Gangnam and Apgujeong Rodeo Street are must-visits. "Ang daming cafes and local restos!! Also, Hongdae and [Seongsu-dong]!!"
Personally, Hazel said that the best time to go to South Korea is during the winter and autumn season!
