DRIZZLE: Ice Cream Toppings
WHAT: Make your own caramel sauce for your ice cream.
WHY: Because it's so easy to make! Just boil 2 cups of white sugar in a cup of water. When it starts to turn dark amber in color, remove from heat. Pour in half a cup of all-purpose cream (be superduper careful because the caramel will sputter in the pan!) and stir until well-blended. Then, just pour on your fave ice cream and sprinkle with nuts or sprinkles.
WHEN: After a long day of shopping with your Christmas money.
WHERE: In the kitchen with your brothers and sisters.
MIX: Fix-Ins
WHAT: Your own cold stone style ice cream.
WHY: Because all you need is a tub of vanilla ice cream (or your flavor of choice) and a bunch of Christmas leftover goodies: brownies, cookies, cake, fruitcake, pastries. Just break them into pieces and mix in with your ice cream!
WHEN: You finally realized that all the cookies and brownies that are in your fridge aren't going to go away.
WHERE: At home with your best-est friends.
QUENCH: Ice Lollies
WHAT: Fresh fruit ice cubes for your juice or iced tea.
WHY: Because they not only look pretty, they're also pretty tasty! Just grab your favorite fruit and cut into a piece that will fit into your ice cube tray. Fill the tray with water and freeze. You'll end up with ice cubes with colorful fruit in the middle.
WHEN: You're having relatives over for a reunion.
WHERE: In the garden or by the poolside.
