Nine out of 10 children (age 10) in the Philippines cannot read, much less comprehend a simple text, according to the latest report by The World Bank, The State of Global Learning Poverty: 2022 Update. With this alarming news about illiteracy and lack of access to education, various groups are making an effort to make reading more accessible to the public.
