There’s more good news about potential visa-free trips to South Korea! According to a report by Preview.ph, the South Korean government is working on a policy that would allow visitors from certain Southeast Asian countries a visa-less three-day stay at South Korean regional airports like the ones in Busan, Jeju, and Cheongju. The proposal is made in hopes of boosting the regional tourism of the country and is targeted for implementation in 2020.
There are currently three ways to enter South Korea without a visa, one of which is through a direct flight to Jeju Island, an option which is currently unavailable for visitors coming from Manila. Here's to hoping this policy pushes through!
