Everyone’s dreams of a comfortable and totally personalized bedroom where they can rest after a long day. Many have the misconception that to achieve this, you have to spend a lot of money first. But for this teacher and part-time photographer, proper planning and online shop were ~key~ to an affordable makeover.
Arnel Coloma decided to renovate his private nook in quarantine after spending time inside hotel rooms. As an event photographer, Arnel spent a lot of time in hotels preparing for photoshoots, and the hotels' interiors always amazed him to the point where he started to “study” some details and how they're built.
As a practical guy, Arnel knew renovating his room was a huge thing for him, so he did most of the renovation himself to cut costs, and only asked for a little help when it came to painting. To save more money, he scoured the net for cheap furniture like aesthetic tables, a life-sized mirror, a couch, and he also bought some funky finds on Shopee like his stylish wall clock, accent lights, carpet, and more.
All in all, Arnel only spent a total of P50,000 for a very comfy room.
