Founded in 1900 by Don Mariano Fortunato Jhocson, the National University has grown to become a top private institution today. The premier campus of National University or NU proudly lies in Manila's University Belt, and it's home to many Nationalians. Although some people only know NU for its reputation of always dominating the seasonal UAAP cheerdance competitions, the 122-year-old university also excels in providing quality education, as evidenced by its QS overall 3-star rating! Plus, big local names such as former president Carlos P. Garcia and Fidel V. Ramos actually graduated from NU. The university offers many courses across its Fairview, Baliwag, and Dasmariñas campuses.

So, there's surely a course for you at NU! If you want to don the blue and gold colors of the university, check out the standout courses we've listed below:

  1. BS Architecture

Do you have a keen eye for aesthetics and possess drawing and math skills? You should consider taking up BS Architecture in college! National University's five-year Architecture program prepares the students for planning and designing, conserving, renovating, and restoring all kinds of structures. You can expect that a chunk of an architecture student's time will go to drawing and planning plates. A Nationalian architecture student will also have on-the-job training as early as third year in preparation for the Architecture Licensure Examination (ALE) after graduation. Fun fact: A Nationalian topped the January 2022 ALE!

  1. BS Environmental and Sanitary Engineering

With a 100% passing rate in the January-February 2022 Sanitary Engineer Licensure Exam, NU engineering graduates prove they have what it takes! The four-year program aims to teach students the combined disciplines of civil engineering and principles of ecology, chemistry, and microbiology. The program also helps students apply knowledge of math and sciences to solve environmental and sanitary engineering problems. If you're passionate about public health, you can put the lessons you've learned into action by helping communities. Students can also pursue specific areas in environmental engineering depending on their interests. A degree holder of this program will find a career related to civil, environmental, and sanitary engineering!

  1. BS Computer Science
