Along the cobbled streets of Intramuros lies the premier campus of Colegio de San Juan de Letran, home to Letranites. Established in 1620, CSJL, colloquially referred to as Letran, is one of the top ten oldest universities in the country. Still, it doesn't mean that the Intramuros-based university is behind other institutions when it comes to quality education. Letran offers competitive programs throughout its other campuses in Bataan, Laguna, and Pangasinan. They're also known for their flagship colleges: the College of Business Administration and Accountancy and the College of Liberal Arts. ICYDK, notable graduates from Letran include famous historical figures like Apolinario Mabini, Emilio Jacinto, and Marcelo del Pilar, among others.

  1. BS Accountancy

Many people have the notion that accountancy is all about math and money, and they're not entirely wrong. However, the BS Accountancy program isn't limited to only those two things; it's also about the rigorous study of business concepts and procedures, functions of accounting, and auditing procedures, all the while improving the students' critical thinking. Letran's BS Accountancy program previously gained a Level I accreditation from the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities or PAASCU. Fun fact: Colegio de San Juan de Letran-Bataan garnered a 100% passing rate in the December 2021 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Exam. 

  1. BS Business Administration

It's no surprise that Letran's BS Business Administration is one of the most sought-after programs at the university. Firstly, their curriculum is globally competitive, and they also gained a Level III accreditation from PAASCU. The program allows students to choose their specialization from the four majors: Operations Management, Marketing Management, Human Resource Management, and Basic Economics. In a nutshell, the program prepares students to apply their business knowledge and management concepts to perform quality work in the marketing field. Graduates of the program will have a career path in any of these areas: corporate analytics, financial services, logistics management, and market research.

  1. BS Secondary Education

If you've always been passionate about teaching young kids or high schoolers, take up BS Secondary Education in Letran, where you can choose to specialize in either Math or English. This four-year program includes academic preparation for future teachers through relevant general education and professional courses. The  Education majors are also expected to have a field study and demo teaching as their hands-on training. Last June 2022, Colegio de San Juan de Letran-Intramuros garnered an impressive 100% passing rate in the Licensure Exam for Teachers for Secondary Education. Teaching will constantly be one of the most in-demand professions, so there will always be a place for you in the education department.

  1. BA Communication Arts

Eyes here if you wish to pursue a career in the media industry—Letran's BA Communication Arts program is perfect for you! It's a versatile program that aims to familiarize students with different forms of media like print, radio, and television and equip them with skills in media production. The program's curriculum comprises theoretical and practical courses aligned with the outcomes. A degree owner of the program will be able to work as a producer, writer, reporter, and so much more. Fun fact: Letran's Institute of Communication or ICOMM students won five awards and four special citations at the 34th Catholic Mass Media Awards.

  1. BA Broadcasting

The previous program, BA Communication Arts, and BA Broadcasting are similar in that they're both for aspiring media practitioners. However, BA Broadcasting is more centered on radio and television. The four-year degree program aims to teach the students about the nitty-gritty of radio and TV production—developing concepts for radio and TV programs, editing audio and videos, writing scripts, and operating controls in production. To fully immerse the students in the world of radio and TV production, Letran introduces them to the behind-the-scenes crew! After completing the program, students can work as news reporters, radio and TV producers, and content writers. Further, ICOMM students received five awards at the 6th Philippine Student Quill Awards for their radio documentaries!

  1. BS Electrical Engineering

Among Letran's four engineering programs, BS Electrical Engineering is the standout! ICYDK, a Letranite ranked second in the September 2018 Electrical Engineer Licensure Examination with a rate of 92.15%.. The four-year program aims to teach the fundamentals of electronics and develop students' skills in electrical wiring and equipment design, and so on. It also trains students in the academic and practical applications of math, sciences, and information technology in electrical engineering. A graduate of this degree can work in telecommunications, radio and TV broadcasting, and industrial electronics.
