With summer just around the corner, you would want to look and feel your best. What's the use of a great summer getaway when you spend most of your time bumming at home because of flu, or you're too insecure of those extra flabs you've accumulated from stress eating during finals week?

Get a head start with these simple and easy-to-do body hacks so you could look and feel your best for summer!

  1. Eating breakfast.

We can't stress enough the need of eating breakfast every day—even when it feels yucky and you feel full. No one's at their best on an empty stomach and this could lead to a slower metabolism. At least grab a banana on your way to school to help boost your metabolism.

  1. Take cold water baths in the morning.

Cold water is your best choice if you want to have prettier hair and skin. It's also better for your immune system, boosts your mood, and increases alertness.

  1. Cinnamon is your best friend.

Adding cinnamon to your food can help you slim down and it's an effective pick-me-up. And what's great about this is that it can help improve your memory and reasoning.

  1. Add lemon to your water.

Starting your day with lemon water in the morning can cleanse your digestive system and keep your metabolism fired up!

  1. Sleep with all the lights off in your room.

Getting deep sleep and being well rested is what your body needs the most. Great for memory, stress, and weight loss, a study even proved that sleeping with the lights off can give you 21% less chance of ending up obese.

  1. Substitute your sweets with dark chocolate.

Dark chocolate can satisfy your sweet tooth cravings and even boost your metabolism because it stimulates our fat-burning hormone.

  1. Drink tea instead of soft drinks.

It's kind of depressing to catch a cold before your much awaited and long planned beach trip with friends. Try to drink as much tea as possible to keep you healthy, boosts your metabolism, and keeps you stress-free for your studies.
