Gakuen Alice

Gakuen Alice proves that friendship can withstand anything, even horribly professors, unfair school rankings, peer pressure, and a lot more. Mikan and Hotaru are childhood best friends. One day, Hotaru suddenly leaves without Mikan knowing and so she decides to follow Hotaru to the school where she is supposedly kept. What follows is a magical journey as Mikan joins the school and meets numerous people, one of which, may even be the person she can love and save the most. The anime spans for only twenty-six episodes so if you're done with the series and you're still craving for more, check out the original manga which shows the complete timeline of the story.

Rurouni Kenshin

An inspiring story about a samurai who seeks redemption and atonement from his past sins, Rurouni Kenshin is the story of Himura Kenshin as he fights the evil in the world and stands up for what he believes in. The story is set during the Meiji Era in Japan where the times are changing and a more Western Japan is blossoming, the stage is set where old Japanese ways are being thrown away and restlessness is hung in the air, an era that Kenshin helped to create. As Kenshin strives to protect the people he loves and cherishes the most, will he be able to still keep his own promise of never to kill again? The anime was also given three live-adaption movies that all scored box-office hits internationally so don't be surprised if you get hooked on the series.
