One of the things we *absolutely* adore about Gen Z creator Aika Agustin is her aesthetic. One look at her Instagram feed is all it would take to know her style: it's dominantly calming and neutral but occasionally punctuated with pastel tones. Aside from her OOTDs, her style is also pretty evident in the way she ~redecorated~ her room!
ICYDK, Aika is based in Japan, but she's currently back in Manila for a while to visit her friends and family. While she's here, she decided to redecorate her room and inject it with her ~*personality*~. Check out how it looked before the makeover:
According to Aika, she wanted her room to have a chill, calming vibe with tons of green hues and a touch of pink. To set her plan into action, she decided to go to IKEA Philippines, Miniso, and Landmark to buy furniture, organizers, and other things for the decor.Â
When you enter Aika's ~redecorated~ room, the first thing you'll see is her full-length mirror and work area.
On her desk, she has her desktop computer setup, a mechanical keyboard, and planner. To inject some color into that specific area, she put up her electric guitar and a printed poster on the wall. She also placed a big parlor palm plant beside her desk.
Aika also changed her curtains from opaque ones to more translucent and sheer ones to let more light come in. Tip: This simple change will make your room appear bigger!
For Aika's bed area, she decided to spruce it up by adding a side table that's filled with all sorts of knickknacks like flowers, books, and her speaker. She also put up another poster to fill up the empty space above it. We also love the addition of her sunset lamp in this area—it gives her space that *pop* of color!
On the other side of her bed, Aika has a shelf that houses her makeup, skincare, perfume, and other things for self-care. She used simple white organizers to arrange and categorize them.
