 Studying at home can be difficult. There, you may be more inclined to lie in bed and use your mobile phone all day. Sometimes, it can be good to dissociate yourself from a place that you perceive  as a space for relaxing and resting. Also, being in enclosed spaces without human contact can become suffocating and demotivating for some people. Fortunately, there are lots of co-working spaces and study lounges that inspire you to be a better student.

Need some recs? Here are some lounges and work spaces that you should visit in Metro Manila:

  1. Diligence Cafe

With three branches in Taft, Katipunan, and España, this study lounge offers the following services for only P350: Free wi-fi, bedroom facilities, unlimited drinks, and access to power outlets. In addition, they recently opened a kitchen so you can order delicious meals that will boost your energy as you work. To enjoy more of their additional packages and promos, you can pay a monthly membership fee of Php 3,500. The Diligence Cafe is also open to partner with any student organizations, start-up businesses, and clubs for private events.

  1. 933 Co-working MNL

Found in Sampaloc, this co-working space is near University of Santo Tomas (UST), Far Eastern University (FEU), University of the East (UE), San Beda University,  Centro Escolar University (CEU), National University (NU), and San Sebastian. For only P150, you can study and make use of their amenities for a full three hours. This package is inclusive of unlimited access to their patio, pantry, film and seminar rooms, napping and smoking areas, showers, and so much more. What’s so special about this lounge is that they allow pets inside and they don’t have a corkage fee, so feel free to bring your own food!

 

  1. Creative Studios by Delab

Located near España, the Creative Studios by Delab is more than just a study lounge but a space for you to create as well. With 3D printing and laser cutting machines, these services can be most useful to students who are studying  Industrial Design, Architecture, Fine Arts, and the like. Moreover, if you need to take a break from all the studying and working, you can relax and stay in their common lounge area. For only Php 400, you have unlimited access to their kitchen, appliances, and shower facilities. If you’re working with big groups, you can reserve a meeting room for you to study together.

  1. StudyHaven Inc.

Being the first study lounge in University Belt, StudyHaven Inc. is designed to be the standard space for students to concentrate and work. You are free to do walk-ins but you will receive more benefits if you pay a membership fee of P300. You may also opt to study for only a few hours with the Homeroom Pass.

  1. HomeRoom Co-Working Space and Study Lounge

Open from 9 AM to 6 AM, you can have unlimited access to their services and amenities for two hours for only Php 120. You will have the basic inclusion of a charging outlet, your private workstation, unlimited coffee and snacks, and WiFi. Sometimes, they offer promos like the Early Bird and the Night Owl promo so you can use their amenities for  the whole duration of your stay. In addition, they provide extra stuff like blankets and pillows to make your stay and study session more comfortable. 

  1. Cozy 

Recently established, the Cozy is a study lounge that is located in Sampaloc, Manila. Currently, a promo dubbed as the Study Buddy can be availed at Php 150, which enables two to work for two hours. Unlike other co-working spaces, they provide printing services, but make sure to schedule a slot  with them first! Moreover, the space is quite smaller than most lounges so this is best if you want to focus by yourself.
