A strong desire to stay at home is one of the things that makes us want to skip our mandatory milk tea run. Traffic AF, mahirap mag-commute, tapos ang haba pa ng pila. With the COVID-19 outbreak being raised to Code Red Sublevel 1, staying at home sounds even more convincing.

Sure, you can opt to have milk tea delivered straight to your doorstep. Or you could whip up your own milk tea drink that’ll last you a week and save up on the delivery fees in the long run. It’s also a fun way to keep yourself out of the couch whenever you’re home (Galaw-galaw din ‘pag may time).

If you’re considering making your own milk tea, you must know the basic ingredients you’ll need to prepare. You don’t have to worry about heading to the groceries to buy supplies either. You can actually order most of the items needed online so no one could stop you from being #TeamBahay forever.

To make a basic milk tea drink at home, here are the ingredients you’ll need: 

  • Black tea
  • Non-dairy creamer
  • Tapioca pearls
  • Sugar
  • Caramel syrup (optional)
