What's 5G, And How It Helped Me Follow My Passion and Start a Career as a Writer
Curious about 5G? In case you’re wondering about this new mobile network and how it’s different from your connection, here’s what you need to know.
As the term suggests, 5G stands for fifth-generation wireless technology, the most recent of its kind to date. What’s great about it is how it’s supposedly faster than 4G *and* offers a more stable connection. If you’ve been struggling with online classes these days, we’re pretty sure you know just how important those attributes are.
Given its reduced latency, 5G promises to help you download your much-needed school files and your fave movies in a snap! If you’re the type who loves mobile gaming, its stable connection can also help you play anywhere without interruptions. If you’re a fresh grad, you’ll love how 5G can help you ensure smooth and seamless online job interviews.
The best part: You can now take advantage of this connection with a 5G-enabled phone! We went ahead and talked to Candy Rookie Franny Balburias to learn how she pursued her passion for writing and turned it into a full-time career at home with help from this new mobile network. Read on:
When did you realize that you were passionate about writing?
It was my second year in high school and for English class at the time, I had Ms. Pike, one of my favorite teachers. Her class made me realize that I loved to write. She was a very good teacher and always encouraged us to get creative about what we wrote, to not think about writing within the lines but getting out of our boxes.
What has been your biggest struggle when it comes to writing regularly, especially now that we all have to stay indoors?
Feeling inspired and creative in general has been such a challenge because we’re boxed in the same place every day. This challenges me to think outside of the box even more. We have to look at the mundane everyday things that we see and make them special and interesting. It gets challenging but it helps me appreciate the simple joys and opens up a new perspective in life.
How do you find the time to write for yourself on top of working on your job?
I’m a fresh graduate and I’m actually self-employed. I struggle more with writing for my work and for my personal interests. Both are closely related in the sense that they relate to fashion but it does get a bit draining sometimes. I manage my time by planning out my weeks. I would allot some days for work and some time to work on my personal projects as well.
How has 5G enabled you to start your career while working on personal interests?
A strong internet connection is a big advantage to have for both work and my passion projects, especially during this time. Since I am unable to physically go out and find inspiration or get work done, I have to do so electronically and online. My 5G connection using the Huawei Nova 7 is stronger than the usual LTE or 3G. It makes it a lot easier for me to get creative and be able to produce outcomes more efficiently.
Of course, the internet is valuable when writing because it helps you expand your knowledge and enrich your work. You get to back up your thoughts with research or maybe even get inspired by what you see on social media. With 5G, I don’t need to wait for the newspaper to know what’s going on since everything is in real-time.
Having a 5G connection helps me bring my work everywhere and also lets me share my work with anyone! I'm sure it can help me reach my goals of hopefully sharing content, not just locally but globally as well.
Balancing acads, your first job, and your personal interests is easier when you have tools that help you finish your tasks quickly. Like Franny, you can enjoy a fast 5G connection with Huawei smartphones like the Huawei Nova 7 and Nova 7 SE.
