As early as now, we encourage you dear Candy Girls to own 2016. Don't waste any time; be sure to build beautiful memories every day, so you can have your most meaningful and eventful year yet. And as you start conquering 2016, we're here to help. We're back to list a few places and events you need to check out with your squad. We wish you a fun-filled January!

  1. Unleash your inner techie child at Future Park
4/F Century City Mall, Kalayaan Avenue, Makati City

    Future Park

You can't miss out on the country's first digital interactive playground. It's not just for kids, but for tech lovers and kids at heart. Future Park offers technology-based interactive games from the Philippines, U.S., Canada, U.K., and the Netherlands. Catch Future Park before its run ends on January 31. For tickets, visit them on Facebook or check out their website.

  2. Satisfy your craving for great reads at SubVerso Book Fair 2016
The Collective, 7274 Malugay St., San Antonio Village, Makati City

    Subverso Book Fair

Grab your bookworm buddies and hit this literary event happening on January 16 from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. at Makati City. Booksellers, independent publishers, writers, literary art collectives, and more creative groups and individuals will be part of the event. Score yourself new books, magazines, and other printed matter to add to your collection. Check out the event page to stay updated.

  3. Choose your own food adventure at Ricing Bowl
G/F Ponte Building, Chino Roces Ave. corner Ponte St., Makati City

Don't go on a diet just yet. You and your friends have to try the flavorful Asian rice bowls at this do-it-yourself food joint. For P149, you can choose your sauce (salted egg, peanut satay, or pumpkin gata), protein (pork, chicken, or fish), and vegetables (coleslaw or charred corn and carrots) to sit atop a hefty serving of rice. Now, that's total value for money!

  4. Swing and fly your way to 2016 at the newly relocated Flying Trapeze School.
Federacion Drive corner 9th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig

And when you're done pigging out, you can head over to the new location of the Flying Trapeze School, so you can burn some calories while having loads of fun. The new location has calisthenics bars where you can first warm up. Of course, you can ask for assistance if you're a beginner. To book a class with your barkada, visit the Flying Trapeze School website <http://www.trapeze.ph/> or contact 0917-242-0331.

  5. Take your ukulele playing to a whole new level.
Craft MNL, Unit 302, 926 Pasay Road Condominium, Arnaiz Avenue, Makati City

    Ukelele Workshop

Here's a fun activity to share with your musically inclined friends. If you're done with the basics, it's time to level up. For P650, you can take part in a three-hour session where you can learn how to read tabs, major scales, and basic chord progression. You'll also get handouts to make sure you can review and practice more. To sign up for the January 24, 2-5 p.m. workshop, click here.
