If you're having a birthday party soon, then chances are you'll want to take some great pics before your birthday bash. Save-the-date photos and videos are all the rage now—and with good reason, too. Not only do they serve as reminders or countdowns for your guests, but they also capture you at your best and prettiest. So if you're planning on having a shoot soon, here are some location ideas that are budget-friendly and breathtaking!

  1. UP Sunken Gardens

Having a boho or fairytale-themed party? Then this place is for you! UP Sunken Gardens features a wide expanse of grassy green land edged with a bunch of beautiful and picturesque trees. Bring some homemade props if you can—be it floral swings or gold figurines—or don't. After all, the place is amazing enough. Don your flower crowns and your flowiest gowns, and let the cool breeze run through your hair as you walk the grounds.

  1. Bonifacio Global City (BGC)

If you're thinking of a Hollywood or high fashion-themed debut, then hit the streets of BGC. The tall buildings and paved grounds provide an air of cosmopolitan elegance that will be perfect for your photos. Sashay down the New York-esque roads à la The Devil Wears Prada like it's your personal catwalk. Dress in your most stylish, editorial-worthy outfits—minidresses, high heels, leather boots, and gold accessories—and strut your stuff!

  1. Venice Grand Canal

Note: The place may be free, but take note of security and parking rates!

For a travel-themed debut, look no further to this exquisite mall. You may have to get there early to avoid crowds, but it will be worth it. Strike a pose in stately gowns and structured coats, or ride through the gondola against a background of colorful European façades. And if you want to satisfy your wanderlust a bit more, you can intersperse your shoot with  more pictures at Luneta's Chinese Garden for just a P10 entrance fee!

  1. Manila Bay

In order to achieve a beachy, tropical-formal theme, Manila Bay is perfect. It's a pity that it's much more polluted than it was before, but luckily, some areas still have the right amount of clean white sand and clear blue waters. As the wind rushes through your hair, you'll truly be a vision clad in draping, colorful clothes—whether amidst a background of yachts and bright skies in the morning or against a backdrop of a beautiful sunset at dusk.

  1. Your room!

Yes, you read that right—home is truly where the heart is. And what place represents you better than your own bedroom? You can start off with a simple shot of you waking up, or just reading in bed. Show off your talents in the video—be it writing, singing, dancing, acting—even playing musical instruments! Next, have some fun by trying on different outfits in the mirror. Don't be afraid to get a little wacky! After all, showing off the different facets of your unique personality is perhaps the most stunning option of all.

What do you think of these ideas, Candy Girls? Save this for some debut inspo, or share it with a friend who’s celebrating her 18th soon!
