5 Coffee Shops to Visit for Design Inspiration
Everyone loves a warm and cozy cafe—it's not only the perfect midday hideout for people who work 8-to-5 jobs, it's a great place for studying and even catching up on reading, too. However, these coffee hubs aren't just for enjoying a good cup of joe, it can be a great place for getting design ideas as well. Here are some of our favorite spots:
What sets 55Square Cafe apart from other shops is that it isn't just a coffee stop—it's an art gallery, too. Tala Singson, co-owner and interior designer, was the one tasked to make the place work as a shared space. "It's a cafe and a gallery and I have to consider both sides. So wala lahat na walls, wala akong nilagay. When it comes to ornaments or décor, it's minimal. Para hindi ma-take-away yung eyes dun sa mga pieces."
55Square Cafe is located at G/F ALCAL Bldg. 285 Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City. For inquiries, you can email them at hi.55squarecafe[at]gmail.com.
Whether you're an espresso fanatic or loyal to a cup of decaf, you'll find something to enjoy in Department of Coffee. Located in Quezon City, this quaint café has a woody, industrial vibe that is conducive for reading, working, or even long conversations with friends.
Unlike any other bespoke furniture showroom, Mozaic Living allows you to sit on the pieces for sale while sipping on their signautre blend of Benguet coffee from their in-house café, Caffeined. You can also reward yourself with a slice of Frozen Brazo de Mercedes for a complete relaxing experience.
Aside from serving delicious coffee, The Den doesn't fall short on showcasing local flair through their interiors. The cafe sports a raw concrete finish with sleek, wood-and-steel furniture that are offset by colorful works of art and quirky knickknacks.
Nestled along Maginhawa street, The Nook features interiors that would make every Potterhead's heart skip a beat everything about the space is undeniably cool, but it is the Hogsmeade mural by ef. Studios that truly steals the show.
