Last weekend, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) launched their campaign as a warm invitation to ASEAN countries to visit their country: Experience Thailand with Mario Maurer. They tapped the Thai superstar, who starred in movies like Crazy Little Thing Called Love and Suddenly It's Magic, as their ambassador.

During the press launch, Mario shared a few things with us. Take notes, Candy Girls, and make sure you book a trip to Thailand ASAP!

  1. Go shopping and get a massage at the Amphawa Floating Market. "It's a very nice place there. You can take the boat. The things are cheap, so you can go shopping. And also, in Amphawa you can get a massage in the boat. You can go sightseeing and have a massge at the same time."

  2. Visit Chiang Mai. "They have places [for different] activities, like a zipline. I never tried it before but I did for the first time because I worked with the Tourism Authority of Thailand. It was very good! I really loved it, and I really like for you guys to go there because it's very nice."

  3. Eat thai food, of course. Mario recommends that you try Som Tam, a Thai papaya salad, but he also gave us a reminder: "Be careful because there's chili in it. You should tell the guy who makes it to put less chili, because when I ate it, it's very spicy."
