You know what's the most frustrating thing about being in a relationship?

It's those moments when you're arguing with babe and you're 10000% sure that you're riiight and he's **WRONG**, but he insists that he's right anyway and he won't admit that he's mistaken.

But instead of getting upset with him (okay, maybe sometimes it's fine to be), maybe it's about time you get down to the real reason why he's being stubborn. According to ~*science*~, this is related to his hormones; the higher the level of testosterone that a guy has, the more he thinks he's right even when he's not. (via

Colin Camerer, a professor of behavioral economics at Caltel who worked on the study, said, "What we found was the testosterone group was quicker to make snap judgments on brain teasers where your initial guess is usually wrong. The testosterone is either inhibiting the process of mentally checking your work or increasing the intuitive feeling that 'I'm definitely right.'"

Oh, now we get it.

The study involved giving one set of participants extra testosterone, while the other set was given nothing. They were then asked to answer Math problems. Of course, those whose testosterone levels were boosted answered most of the questions wrong aaand after they were told that their answers were wrong, it took them some time before they got to the right conclusion.

The reason? Testosterone increases people's confidence. Col added, "If you're more confident, you'll feel like you're right and will not have enough self-doubt to correct mistakes."
