The Texting Habits You Should Avoid When Talking To Guys
So you're on a date with this cute guy you met at a friend's birthday party when you feel your phone buzz in your bag. Do you check for messages or leave it be? Answer: Leave it be. According to a survey by Match.com, 70 percent of singles want their dates to keep their phones OFF the table. Unless you've been waiting for an important message, checking for phone can wait until later.
In the same survey, Match.com was able to list down some of the guys' three texting turn-offs. Are you guilty of some of these?
1 Typos and wrong grammar.
According to the report, 36% of guys don't like receiving poorly structured messages. So if you want to thank him for the time he's spent with you, make sure you do a quick spell check first.
2 Using ALL CAPS.
IT'S RUDE AND IT FEELS LIKE YOU'RE SCREAMING AT HIM. ARE YOU MAD?
3 Texting them while they're in school.
If you want to go out with him again, resist the urge to send your date a text during school hours. Survey says 47 percent of single guys don't like it. Besides, it's not a bad idea to make him wait a little.
Of course, all the annoying text habits in the world wouldn't make a difference if he's already majorly attracted to you. According to a study by lead author Alex Jones, Ph.D. and psychologist Robin Kramer, there are three things that will make you irresistible to men. And no, makeup doesn't have a lot to do with it.
