If you thought that the #1 reason for the end of a relationship is the lack of time for each other, then it's about time you stop, read this, and actually take down notes.

An ongoing study of couples that was started in 1986 by Terri Orbuch, relationship expert, author, professor, and therapist, found that the top cause of breakups between couples is actually not spending enough time on your own. Whaaat?????? (via Self.com)

According to the study, this time alone is v important for couples to rediscover themselves and pursue their hobbies and the things they're passionate about. While spending too much time apart is dangerous, too, enough time for yourself and for what you want to do alone will keep both of you happy.

So how do you go about this? Talk to your boyfriend about days that are strictly for yourself—which means no DMs, no IG stories, and no word from him demanding an explanation. Hee hee! That way, you'll have a productive Me Time and new stories to share with him, too! Yay!
