"Heartbreak is pretty much one of the most romantic things that could possibly happen to you in your life," singer, songwriter, rockstar, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman Karen O said as she began giving teens a few pieces of advice on heartbreak, stage fright, and cheating when she appeared on Rookie's Ask a Grown Woman recently.

Her thoughts are noteworthy because she doesn't give you the cliche stuff you can get tired of listening to when your heart is bleeding, like "Things will be fine" or "It's all going to be okay." Instead, Karen encourages you to be sad for a little while because she believes that while heartbreak can really wreck you, it isn't something you should be ashamed of experiencing.

"You get to feel one of the most intense and soul-shaking, kind of to-your-core deep, and most alive feelings there is to a human being," she said. "I'd say thumbs up to heartbreak because people have based their entire artistic careers on heartbreak... I'd say thumbs up, but heartbreak sucks because it hurts really bad."

Listen to her talk about it and on dealing with stage fright below. Make sure to take down notes, too, Candy Girls!

Aside from those 2 topics, Karen also spoke about her stand on cheating, loving 2 people at the same time, and hurting the person you love.
