Traveling with your babe for the first time isn't only stressful (hello, ever tried looking for the perfect date and the perfect place?), it can also get expensive especially if you're still depending on your parents for allowance. But if you think it's impossible, it's not at all, Candy Girls.
You can actually save up for your very first out of town trip with babe. You just have to commit to it together. Here are five ways you can save up for that, girl. Time to take down notes!
- Cook for each other instead of going out.
Since eating out can get really pricey most of the time, if you're still saving up for your travel funds, we suggest you try cooking for each other instead. It's cheaper to go and buy the ingredients from the market yourself and spend time in the kitchen cooking for the love of your life. Plus, the effort will surely make your hearts swell with joy.
- Marathon movies and TV series at home instead of going to the cinema.
Cinema tickets are quite expensive, so while you're still trying to save, we suggest you ask your boyfriend to come over and watch your favorite movies and TV series at home with you instead. You can also have some time to bond with each other's families and talk to each other even while the movie's playing. And ICYDK, movie nights are great for your relationship—there's even a study that proves that!
- Try junk food hacks at home if you want to eat comfort food instead of grabbing some fast food takeout.
If you're feeling a bit bored and you're both having a bad day—sooo bad that you just can't lift another finger anymore—why don't you try a few junk food hacks together? We actually have a few over here! You can both have fun, try new things, and de-stress together.
- Explore museums if you're itching to go out.
There are a ton of museums and libraries in the country that don't have entrance fees—start with the National Museum, Candy Girls. Not only will you learn a lot of things together, you'll also get to go out without spending a lot of money.
- Treat yourselves once in a while if you really need it.
Just because you're saving up doesn't mean that you can't have fun anymore. When you're both getting tired of doing the same things over and over again, treat yourselves to a fancy dinner out. But always remember not to touch your savings, okay? Live and go on a date that's within your budget.
