It has been common practice for couples to adopt a pet during their relationship. It looks so cute in social media and a new form of bond between you and your bae. But are you ready for that kind of responsibility? Here's a rundown of what generally happens when a couple decides to be co-parents of a little fur ball.

  1. You gain more responsibility.

Even if you get a dog, a cat, or any other pet, each one has a specific need. Such as going for a daily walk or cleaning their litter box.

  1. Another shoulder to cry on.

At times when you're in a fight or you miss your bae, there's still this cutie next to you that will comfort you through your pain.

  1. Jealousy might get added to the equation.
