Guys Q & A: Am I Ready For A Relationship?

Don't know if you're really ready for a relationship? This might help.

Got guy-related problems you want us to help you with? One Candy Girl wrote to us, saying, "I like this guy, but I don't know if I am really ready for a relationship. A little help?" And because we love helping you out in the guy department, we list down 3 questions you might want to ask yourself before taking the big leap:

  1. Can I handle another commitment? You are playing several roles every day: a daughter, a sister, a friend, and most importantly, a student. If you are having a difficult time getting it together at this point, you might want to take things slowly first. Being in a relationship means you have to allot some of your time to be with your guy and actually make things work. Can your already busy schedule handle that?

  3. Am I comfortable being all by myself? A relationship is made up of two whole individuals. If you think that having a boyfriend can fill in the gaps in your life and make you feel a little less lonely, you might want to reconsider. Ever heard of the saying you have to love yourself first before you can love another person completely?

  5. Am I over the previous guy? It doesn't have to be your ex-boyfriend. It could be someone you've loved or liked for the longest time. Using this wonderful guy who wants to be in a relationship with you as a way to move on from someone is just unfair, don't you think?
