It's that time of the year again, Candy Girls and Boys. It's the Candy Cuties season again, and we hope you've already met this year's batch of cuties via the September issue and Cutiepedia. Don't forget that you also have the very special chance to meet some of them this Saturday at the #CandyFair2015.
We know that during this time of the year, you also feel a little nostalgic about a lot of things. You can blame it on the weather all you want, but you can't just deny it. Besides, it's the heart's nature to look back on things. Today, we can't help but think about all these Candy Cuties who've come so far. We can still remember those times when we'd see them frequently in our issues, giving advice to you as part of their boy panel duties. So we decided to do a little digging in our archive and we're sharing a few retro photos of these celebrities who've graced our pages as Candy Cuties. It really feels like these photos were just taken yesterday. BRB, tearing up a little at the moment.
1 AJ Perez+
Even years after his death, AJ remains one of our favorite Candy Cuties to work with and we still miss him to this day. His first appearance on Candy was in September 2005, where he was part of that year's roster of cuties. Relive our sweetest moments with him over here.
2 Albie Casiño
Remember when this On the Wings of Love star graced our pages as one of our boy panelists for May 2011? Yes, that was Albie joining James Reid, Elmo Magalona, and Von Pessumal. Aside from giving you a few words of wisdom on your problems about guys, he also talked to you on Candy ChitChat. Read what you talked about with him over here.
3 Alden Richards
Before he was known as Alden, this cutie first graced Candy's pages as Richard Faulkerson in 2010. He even went to the Candy Fair that year where he met Maine Mendoza (or Yaya Dub, his onscreen partner for Eat Bulaga's mini-series in the show).
4 Atom Araullo
Before Atom became one of this generation's cutest TV newsmen, he was first our Candy Cutie during the earlier days of the magazine. Check out those eyebrows—on fleek!
These guys were still so young back then. Who would ever think that they'll be the actors they are now years later, right? Click the links to their Cutiepedia profiles to read more about them.
Two of the country's cutest football players from the Azkals also appeared in Candy's pages in September 2007.
In September 2011, these cuties first appeared in the magazine as part of the Candy Cuties roster. Alex was still James Alexander McDermott back then. Look how far they've come now.
It's hard to imagine that these cuties are now leading men who have their own TV shows. Speaking of TV shows, make sure to watch the pilot episode of Ken's series about a transgender woman on GMA's Destiny Rose. And yes, he's playing the starring role.
9 Geoff Eigenmann
In September 2004, Geoff was the main guy for our Candy Cuties issue.
10 Dominic Roco
Twin cuties were a thing even back in 2005. Before this year's Kim and Kyle Roño, Joseph and Jovic Ventinilla, and Arturo and Luca Alleje, we already put Dom...
11 Felix Roco
...and his twin brother Felix on the cover of the 2005 cuties issue. We even gave out polaroids from their cover shoot that month!
12 Gerald Anderson
In 2006, after his stint on Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition, this cutie from General Santos City appeared on our cover. Now, Gerald has already made a name for himself as one of this generation's most bankable leading men.
13 Enrique Gil
Last year's September cover boy actually appeared in our pages even before that. He was part of the Gigger Boys back then with AJ, Sam Concepcion, and Chris Gutierrez. Enrique now has established himself as one of entertainment's brightest young stars.
