Guys

Boys vs Girls

Stumped by conflicting opinions between you and your guy? Here's how to deal.

TASTES IN CLOTHING

The Rub: You'd like to see him in nicer, preppy clothes, but he loves his basketball jerseys and huge, baggy pants. Alternatively, you may want to see him dress down from his standard-issue nerd gear of pastel polos and slacks. He on the other hand may think you dress too sexily. Who gets to play the fashion stylist then?

The Solution: People can be more sensitive to their surroundings than we give them credit for. In this case, exposure to different settings will develop a guy's idea of the appropriate threads to wear. Remember, no one likes to be the object of unflattering attention. Dressing appropriately comes easier for women, so if you're not too uncomfortable with his suggestions, maybe you can indulge him when the situation allows it. Hey, at the end of the day, it's only clothes.
