It is so tempting to lose your temper whenever there's something your significant other does that really, really, really annoys you. This makes sense, right? Looking at your future as a couple will give you some perspective, stopping you from taking drastic actions and saying things that you'll regret in the long run. All of us want a good relationship in the future, so this way of thinking allows us to avoid things that won't matter to your life as a couple a year from now.
