Things Girls in a Relationship Should Just Stop Saying

Save your energy, ladies, and stop saying these things.

We say the most annoying things sometimes, and that's normal. Of course we all have our #NoFilter moments when we're talking to friends or even random people. But there are just lines we love saying over and over and over again as if it were totally okay. Single girls aren't the only ones who say the most cringe-worthy and eyebrow-raising lines. Even girls who are dating or are in a relationship say the strangest things, too.  Let us illustrate with examples.

1  "Let me introduce you to his friend."

Just because you're in a relationship doesn't mean that you're an expert on dating. Unless your single friend blatantly asked you if you could introduce her to someone, never, ever say this to her. Not all people are comfortable talking and discussing about their love lives with just anybody.

2  "I have plans already. With the boyfriend, you know."

We're just asking if you're available to hang out with us. Geez, relax. We didn't really ask if you're still in a relationship or not. We understand that you've probably made plans to spend every weekend with your guy, but we were just asking if you were free to chill with us. Don't get excited.

3  "Bawal daw, e, sabi ng boyfriend ko."

Can't you make decisions on your own? Whatever happened to free will? G I R L. If your parents allow you to go for it, then go for it. Don't let him stop you from doing what you want and making a choice for yourself.

4  "He drives me crazy! I hate him already!"

No, you don't. You're just having a bad day and you're a little bit grumpy. Take a step back and breathe. All you need to do is talk to your boyfriend about that thing you're arguing about, settle your differences, and make up. Everything's going to be alright. You probably won't even remember this conversation tomorrow.

 5  "I can't have a crush, okay? I have a boyfriend na, e."

Of course you can have a crush even if you have a boyfriend already. It's just a little admiration. C'mon, live a little! Fangirling won't hurt your relationship, we promise.

 6  "Nag-away na naman kami."

If you're fighting more often than usual, maybe it's about time you stop complaining and ranting to your friends and have a heart-to-heart talk with your bae. As people always say, you can only talk about it so much.

 7  "We should break up."

It's okay to tell us this if you really spent a long time thinking about your decision, but when you're just having a petty argument and you can't deal, don't. The universe might hear what you've been saying and actually give you the breakup you've been talking about a little too much. Good vibrations only, girl.

PRIMO.

First. Pixie dust and paper cuts – these are the first things Wendy knew about Peter Pan. Aurora first met Prince Philip when she was sixteen. Learning how to ride a bike was also a first while I was growing up, but you are probably the first of too many. The first collection of dust and stars; maybe Luna will try to ask, who was your first? I might answer and tell her that it was you.

The first of too many stars in the sky. You are the first of too many fallen leaves during fall – and you will be the most anticipated snowflake as winter comes. A dark path that you can’t see without any light, hence, you were once the moon and there are the stars that shine so bright at night. Are we too early? Or we just really want to be ahead of time? Even in a glimpse, I would like to see the two of us connect as if we can reach the sky. There are other parts of the heavens you have never saw and other oceans you haven’t laid your feet onto – but the constellations will always wait for you. Close your eyes, love, close your eyes. Start counting backward: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Count backward until you see the twinkling lights that will guide you to the right path. To the right satellite; to the right person. A first.

There are many firsts – first love, first heartbreak, first sport you played, the first thing you do in the morning, the first thing you remember about the person in front of you. There are a lot. It’s actually up to us how we will consider something as a first. So, Primo, you are already a first of too many.
