We guys always whine about how girls are hard to understand. I’m sure everyone’s sick of the “yes means no and no means yes” complaints and all the crazy jokes guys crack about girls being the greatest mystery in the world. But come to think of it, guys are pretty hard to decipher too. They can be confusingly caring when they only see you as a friend, and they can be mysteriously distant when they’re madly in love. So to be fair, here’s a little guide to help you figure out whether your guy is in love with you or not.
When guys fall in love, it doesn’t usually happen in a snap. We go through a maze of thoughts with many different stages. Some stages lead somewhere, while others lead to dead ends. So if your guy is in one of these stages, you can be sure that the possibility of falling in love is very, very real. And although some may skip certain steps or go through them in different sequences, these are the main stages he goes through when he falls in love with you.
The I-Can’t-Get-Enough-of-You Stage.
Here, a guy is, technically, not yet in love, but is already bordering on admiration and infatuation. You won’t occupy his thoughts all day, but when you pass by, you become the center of his universe. For those few seconds, everything turns into slow motion as he notices everything about you, from how you smile to how you flip your hair or tuck it behind your ears. Even until after you pass by, your long lasting effect on him will summon smiles and daydreams throughout the rest of his day. At this stage he is either scared to make a move, afraid of rejection, or waiting for the right time.
Signals to look out for: You may notice how he drops everything he’s doing when he sees you. His eyes will follow you and then try to look away as fast as he can when he sees you looking.
