5 Restaurants to Try for When Bae Asks You "Saan Tayo Kakain?"
Instead of "ikaw bahala," "kahit saan," or "'di ko alam," make the restos in this list your ready answers the next time bae asks you where you wanna eat.
- Yo! Panda
If the bae takes his 'gram game a little too seriously, you're sure to get a double-tap for this recommendation. The booths and stringed lights alone already make for a great post, but wait 'til you see their take on Hong Kong's famous bubble waffles—totally a #needforfeed and a must for your sweet tooth! The desserts are the perfect pick-me-ups, but if you want a filling meal, they also have savory Asian dishes to satisfy your cravings.
Location: 4F SM Megamall Building A, Ortigas, Mandaluyong City
- Sunnies Café
Muted pastel walls, neon signs, picture-perfect everything (from the menu down to the dishes)—basically, there's not an unattractive nook in this café. We're not sure your bae would 100% dig the idea of dining here (probably because he’d assume the role of Instagram boyfriend the moment you step inside), but we're positive you totally would! So do yourself a favor and suggest this café the next time he asks.
Location: B3 Bonifacio High Street, Bonifacio Global City
- Makansutra Hawkers
No need to jet off to Singapore or Hong Kong the next time you and your SO crave for hawker food, because the ever so famous food center in Singapore is now easily accessible in the country! In true hawker fashion, there's an assortment of affordable authentic dishes from Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, and Malaysia among others. Currently with 11 stalls (and counting), it's easy to assume that Makansutra Hawkers is heaven for all foodies and hell for the indecisive.
Location: 2F SM Megamall Building A, Ortigas, Mandaluyong City
A trip to this place will probably turn your Taco Tuesday dates into a Taco All Day, Every Day thing. What's great about this resto is that you won't have to spend so much time deciding on your orders since the menu is pretty straightforward, and the dishes are guaranteed tasty, too. What with the no frills, honest to goodness, authentic tacos, we're sure that your beau will have you to thank for this enlightening and delish discovery.
Location: GF BSA Mansion, 108 Benavidez St., Legaspi Village, Makati City
- Gastro Park Kapitolyo Food Park
The perfect solution for when you both can't decide what to eat is going to a food park with 15 stalls that offer different dishes and specialize on a variety of cuisines a.k.a Gastro Park in Kapitolyo. It's a plus that the food is fast and the prices are affordable (think: a full meal for less than P150 or unlimited tempura with rice for only P249) because you can order whatever you feel like eating and share it with the bae—win-win!
Location: No. 12 1st St. Brgy. Kapitolyo, Pasic City

I started fixing myself this quarantine. I mean, I started trying makeup products. As a teen, I'm on my phone almost every hour of the day, scroll on my social media accounts, especially Instagram, and also Pinterest where you get to see nice and pleasing photography by bunch of amazing and beautiful people from different parts of the world. So I started taking my own as well. I did not know that taking your own photo and try to get an Instagramable one is sooooooooo hard, it's exhausting. I do not have alot of space in my room, and I would definitely not do it outside our house because of Corona Virus, and I don't want to be seen by our neighbors HAHA so I have no choice but to make tiis inside my room.
Out of atleast 25 shots, only 2 are a nice picture. While I'm all sweaty and tired, I am proud of what I could do beyond my comfort zone. And this definitely built my self confidence, (and I secret love the compliments I received from both people I know and don't know) It's not my first time visiting in here, Candy! But I'm new to writing my thoughts and experiences, so bare with me HAHA.
Until next time!
First. Pixie dust and paper cuts – these are the first things Wendy knew about Peter Pan. Aurora first met Prince Philip when she was sixteen. Learning how to ride a bike was also a first while I was growing up, but you are probably the first of too many. The first collection of dust and stars; maybe Luna will try to ask, who was your first? I might answer and tell her that it was you.
The first of too many stars in the sky. You are the first of too many fallen leaves during fall – and you will be the most anticipated snowflake as winter comes. A dark path that you can’t see without any light, hence, you were once the moon and there are the stars that shine so bright at night. Are we too early? Or we just really want to be ahead of time? Even in a glimpse, I would like to see the two of us connect as if we can reach the sky. There are other parts of the heavens you have never saw and other oceans you haven’t laid your feet onto – but the constellations will always wait for you. Close your eyes, love, close your eyes. Start counting backward: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Count backward until you see the twinkling lights that will guide you to the right path. To the right satellite; to the right person. A first.
There are many firsts – first love, first heartbreak, first sport you played, the first thing you do in the morning, the first thing you remember about the person in front of you. There are a lot. It’s actually up to us how we will consider something as a first. So, Primo, you are already a first of too many.
