While relationships are supposed to make us happy, we should also acknowledge the fact that relationships require us to work to make things work and make things last. We've already given you three things that you should do at the end of the day so you can strengthen your bond, but here are five more things you and your bae should think of doing every day.

  1. Ask them how their day went.

Most of the time, all it takes to turn your day around is the question, "How are you?" from someone you hold dear. It will make them feel secure that even if it feels like no one cares and no one understands, you'll always do.

  2. Surprise them in little ways.

So you're past the honeymoon stage already, but that doesn't mean you're done with surprising each other! Get out of your couple routine and show up even if you haven't scheduled anything, buy him his fave cup of coffee or candy bar, or give him a back hug when he's having a bad day. It will make your bae know that you've been thinking about them during the day.

  3. Wish them a great day ahead.

Start the day right by wishing each other a good morning and a good day ahead. Admit it, there's nothing like waking up to a text message from your bae saying these sweet words.

  4. Treat their family and friends like they were yours.

Sure, you won't like every member of your bae's family or barkada but that doesn't mean you have to hate them. They are important and special to him, so treat them with respect and give them a chance. Who knows, maybe you just need to warm up to each other.

  5. Choose to put yourself in their shoes, always.

Most fights and arguments in a relationship can actually be avoided if we only choose to see where the other person is coming from. Even if things get hard at times, always choose to put yourself in your partner's shoes.
