We know, we know. Moving on is one of the most difficult things you'll probably go through in life. Moving on from breakups is bad enough, so how do you do that when no actual breakup happened? It's doubly difficult because there's no closure and you're left with nothing but questions that will remain unanswered. But don't worry, Candy Girls, because we always have your back when it comes to struggles like this. We've listed down three ways you can move on from that guy who left you hanging—that doesn't involve crying your heart out, pigging out on junk food, or watching rom-coms.

  1. Keep a planner or a journal.

Don't just record meetings, homeworks, and school deadlines in your planner. Record all the reasons why you're happy or smiling every day. Write each of them down, even simple things like not crying yourself to sleep today or being able to laugh out loud until your sides ache with your friends. This will remind you that there are a ton of things you can be happy about even if that guy left you without warning.

  2. Go trekking.

There's just something about being one with nature and spending time outdoors that can heal broken hearts. You can go alone or with a group of friends one weekend and have a day hike in the mountains. The view from the summit will make you realize that there's more to this world than crying over a boy who's just not worth the tears. There's so much beauty in the world and you won't be able to see that if your eyes are clouded with tears.

  3. Reflect on who you are outside of a romantic relationship.

We know you feel that it would be such a waste if you let go of this guy after all your times together, but trust us, it's one of the best decisions you'll ever make. At this time and age, you're ready to conquer the world and make your dreams happen. Don't allow a guy who didn't even love you drag you down and stop you from being who you're meant to be. As the saying goes, you are stronger and wiser than you think. Good luck, Candy Girls!
