Different people have different ways of dealing with their fears. Try these tips and choose what works best for you!
Â
- Distract yourself.Thinking about your fears makes them larger and more threatening than they really are. Instead of dwelling on them, listen to music or pick up a copy of your fave magazine. Spend less time worrying and more time developing your talents or being with the people close to you.
- Talk about it.If you’re afraid your boyfriend might want to break up with you, consult your friends. They could either confirm the problem, in which case you’ll be able to deal with it immediately, or they could ease your fears by telling you that your beau is totally in love with you and you have nothing to worry about.
- Write on your journal. If talking about your fears seems too embarrassing, rant about them on your journal. There is nothing more therapeutic than putting your thoughts on paper. When you look back on what you wrote after a few days, you might just find yourself laughing and wondering why on earth you feared taking that test which you ended up acing.
